Precautions when upgrading EASyCAST from V.6.xx to V.8.03 or later

This firmware is for the EASyCAST Encoder/Decoder for broadcast systems; for cable systems please use the EASyPLUS firmware and software update and IPTV systems please use the EASyIP firmware and software update.

v.8.05

  • EASyCAST Firmware Version 8.05, EASyNIC Firmware Version 3.05
  • Added a test message that can be shown during the National EAN Test
  • Added support for the new EASyNIC cards that do not include a Telephone MODEM
  • The CG test utility now sends test messages to other configured serial protocols
  • Added the ability to select which firmware files are upgraded
  • Made a change to SCTE-18 messages to use infinite duration when the message is a text-only custom messages that exceeds 5 minutes
  • Repeat SCTE-18 messages sent to end infinite messages (for EAN or local overrides)
  • Allow SCTE-18 and EAC/Evertz recipients to receive abort messages
  • Fixed a problem that could occur when sending audio files via FTP across a congested network

    • Modified SCTE-18 messages so that the continuity counter is contiguous for each recipient
    • Added ability to repeat new SCTE-18 messages a configured number of times
